      Abstract

      Readers and authors alike will be pleased to know that the impact factor (IF) of OEM has risen to 2.817 in 2007, from 2.255 in 2006. (The IF is a bibliometric index which measures the citation frequency of articles contained in a journal, standardised according to its number of published, potentially citable articles.)
