Within the Introduction the authors wrongly state that 4-chloro-ortho -toluidine is present in cigarette smoke. Whereas ortho-toluidine has been repeatedly reported to be present in cigarette smoke, this has never been reported for 4-chloro-ortho-toluidine. ortho-Toluidine has also been implicated in bladder cancer in the rubber industry (Baan et al.
