This book is a good introductory text for those interested in toxicology. Throughout, basic processes are very clearly described. The authors have set themselves the ambitious task of producing a broad-based yet in-depth introduction to this diverse topic. This is a daunting task. Chapters cover test methods, toxicokinetics, sites of action, toxigenomics, followed by various target organ toxicity, and finally three specific applications (pharmacology, forensic toxicology, environmental toxicity).
