These adjustments accounted for the following differences in characteristics: 74% of farming cohort v 46% of household sample were male; age of farmers was 20–83 years v age of householders was 16–64 years; 2% of farming cohort v 9% of household sample were unemployed; 30% of farming cohort v 37% of household sample reported a longstanding illness, disability, or infirmity. | |||||
